I was recently looking through the regulations but was unable to find a clear answer, but how many bucks are residents able to harvest in Wisconsin yearly?

Archery — one in most of the state; bonus bucks (max of one) applies in CWD zones for those who qualify.
Gun, one, with the exception of those taking advantage of legal group hunting laws (or one bonus buck south if not used in bow season). See p. 22 for group hunting rules (linked).

In general 1 bow, 1 gun except in the southern farmland zone where You could take up to 4 this year.

A person utilizing group hunting rules could take more (few do), but the most any one hunter can tag using his or her own tags ("outside the fence," at least) is three, and only if taking advantage of a bonus buck tag in the southern farmland zone units.
