Just curious what scent eliminator works best for everyone? I have tried a lot of them and seem to have the best luck with the scent blocker trinity variety. Always nice to know what works best for everyone.
I use and like DDW but I read a study done recently that had some good controls. They showed that HS soap, the original green liquid, performed way above others.
There was a recipe that you could make your own field spray using that and Hyd. Peroxide and some other things. I must have messed up with the recipe since the spray reaked.
I might try Trinity but I have no money for anything this year.
I use Scent-Away either the odorless or fresh earth. I have had deer walk down the same trail I walked in on, within a hour of me, with no alarm at all. In fact, I had two come in this year, pretty good sized does, and the second one heard me make a noise and started stomping and wheezing. I don't think she ever got a scent, but left because she wasn't sure what I was.
I'm about saving money this year and am going with leftover Scentaway from last year and plain old baking soda. I'm in a climber and get up fairly high, and am trying to use the wind to my advantage as well. I position scent wicks to try to cover my scent -- I've never had much luck with them as an attractant. I'm on public land and seeing more deer than in the past two years, but I can't really attribute it to anything specific.
I use the Bone Collector pack. Has body wash, shampoo/conditioner, body foam (which I love), and a few human scent eliminators. Although I don't really use too much. Best scent eliminator is using the wind and wearing gear thats put on and taken off while entering and leaving the hunting area. Amd make sure to store your gear in a sealed container and dried after each use.
I've had good luck with both Dead Down Wind and Scent Killer products.
What do you guys use for deodorant/antiperspirant?
I use a couple of different brands, but always got for the Earth/Dirt scent. I mainly use the brands sold by Fleet Farm.
Back in the 80's I use to mix water and dirt in a spray bottle, and spray my clothes with it, plus rub mud/black dirt on my kneew, hat and hands before hunting. Because I felt like the dirt scent would help me escape deer noses. Too bad I didn't think of marketing me dirt spray, or I would have been a millionare by now!

"For my gear, Ozone."
Howatt/Ronny/et al, I took the liberty to post a link to that portable closet you built last year to put your little ozone generators in. I bought one of those ozone generators per your recommendation but I'm not convinced they work due to the low volume of the ozone they generate. Do you feel they work for you?
You did a nice job with the portable closet.
Howatt/Ronny/et al, why the name calling? I gave you a compliment on a job well done. A simple Thank You will suffice.
How do those ozone devices work for you?
Simply a compliment to you Howatt/Ronny/et al. There was no need for name calling. Again, a simple Thank You is all that was needed and I didn't expect one at that. You did a nice job. Take the compliment and be happy.
I don't feel like mailing my ozone bugger to someone to try. I was just trying to find out if you were still happy with yours. You recommended it last year but I know you just purchased them last year to put in your DIY body heater suit which was another cool project you did. It really is hard to measure success with those units. They don't put out much power given what I read is needed.
Acting retarted Howatt/Ronny/et al? Have you looked at your posts lately? I paid you a compliment and you go off for some reason as if someone stole your 5gallon corn pail. Let it go dude so you don't get banned for like the 20th time like you have on every site. I know it gets confusing when you post using so many different monikers. Well, actually not since I've never done what you are doing. Sorry you can't take a compliment. You do good work other than when you think you are someone else in your little playland of make believe people.
You ruined the thread Howatt/Ronny/et al. I simply pasted a link to your project which was a great project and was pertinent.
