Beman ics hunter with Rage 3 blades.

Gotta say, I've shot all kinds of arrows, and the only thing I've found is while there are some brands my bow likes better than others, the difference is minimal. Practice will make the worst arrow shoot a whole lot better than the best arrow with no practice.

1,000 gr????

34 years is a long time to use the same arrows and broad heads. I could do that no problem because I don't shoot anything so they would still be like new, even 34 years later :)

my voice isn't what it used to be, so I had to stop the yelling technique. Not sure about Steve though.

I'm warning you, going out this Saturday and look for my posting showing the huge buck on the ground. I will have blood on my hands this year.

I won 2 dzn arrows from Connecticut Archery in the WPLR auction. They have their own brand called Striker, so I am using those.. Comparable to Beman ICS Hunter 400s. Tipping them with Ramcat 100 broadheads. Standard nocks at the moment, but thinking about lighting them up

OK

so has anyone found a certain arrow/broadhead combo that works WAAAAY better than anything else?

I buy different arrows because I like shiny new things. Heck, I buy lots of new gadgets just to see how they work. It can get pretty boring just sitting in the tree watching deer go by.

For my recurve, the Gold Tip Traditional 55/75 with a 100 grain brass insert and a Magnus stinger 100 grain head and three 5" shield cut feathers flies and hits better than any arrow I have ever used out of a trad bow. I tried it with a compound.... What a whallop! Went through the target.
