What Monday to take off?

I have room for 1 Monday to take off to hunt the rut. Vote for the day you think will be best on private land in Jackson County. 10/27, 11/3, 11/10 or 11/17?

Nov. 3, better chance of avoiding bucks locked with does in heat IMO (a good thing if she's in your area, but a bad thing if she's not). Also better chance of attracting cruisers with grunt/rattle. Near-full moon rising mid-afternoon. Wild card is weather! Good luck.

11/3 or 11/10. 11/3 you have a better chance of grunt/rattle them in, but a doe decoy with some estrus on 11/10 could bring them running too! In either case, if you find a hot spot, these would be your best days to see some deer, imo.

Definitely the 3rd of November. At least that's when I generally have more action by cruising bucks where we hunt.

Assuming you have the weekend off and can hunt, the 8th & 9th are primo. So take Monday the 3rd and if you don't score you have the best weekend of the year IMO.
