Last night lots of activity in the rain. Doe 4:30, Buck 5:30. Lucky to recover both in the rain and wind!

Congrats on the double. Got a story to go along with it - was buck in tow of doe or was he cruising?

Thanks! lots of activity, had a couple does come in right off the bat, took the bigger closer one but it was definitely a bit back so I figured she needed a little time as I watched her bed down. At that point I was coyote hunting for the rest of daylight until I got down to check her out, low and behold at 5:30 hear a grunt behind me, two bucks cruising (mine and a 4 or small 6) the bigger one decided to chow acorns in front of me at 27 yrds, I had no choice! On the walk in I did find 6 or so scrapes and the deer were acting like it was nov 10th! The bucks were harassing a skipper and everything seemed to be on the move.
Got down, doe was right where she bedded and after a bit of searching the buck was 150 yrds straight down hill. Great night with dad /and bro!

Thats a lot of butchering! Ha.
Nice deer. How about a story that goes with it....type of broadhead, location, tree or from the ground, private or state...

Slick trick 100gr, devastating! On the buck hit the opposite shoulder and broke the arrow, found the broad head when I skinned him!
