I am in my second year of bow hunting for deer and still have yet to harvest one. I am hoping to get out Saturday and was thinking about using Doe Estrus Scent. Does anyone think it is still too early to use Doe Estrus Scent? Also, has anyone had any luck combining Doe Estrus Scent with rattling or a Doe Estrus Call? Thanks.

If you got scrapes, it's okay to use scent.

just pee in the scrape ... the buck will come to investigate ... whammy
P.S. Make sure you are zippered up and bow in hand.

Good time to make a mock scrape with some dominant buck pee, couple weeks mix in some estrus. Also hang a camera and you'll get some great pics.

can anyone recommend a good brand for dominant buck pee (code blue, buck bomb)?

Lastnight my good buddy dragged estrous in to his stand.. knocked down a 7ptr that walked right in with his nose to the ground!

I have had great success with buck bomb. Also around this time I will hang wild life research active scrape or Golden scrape in all my hunting sights and it's worked for me.

I've had too many Buck Bombs without propellant. For $9 a can, to not work, is unacceptable. I started using the Tinks aerosol cans last year. They fully disseminate the entire contents.

Used a drag line of Code Blue dominant buck and doe in esterous last night to my stand. Didn't get anything, but I was hoping to catch a big boy slipping, no harm in trying. I was given advice to make sure I cover a lot of ground when using a drag line, in order to increase your chances of a buck coming across that scent trail. Make sure to drag a nice circle about ten yards in front of your stand. Good luck to ya.

I never do a circle, it could bring him down wind of you. Circle to the upwind side of your stand and come into your stand location via a direction where you can pick up the movement easily, like an open area as opposed to thick brush.

BBB, when you drag a line...do you walk in to where you think the deer are coming from..drop the line and walk backwards towards your set up? Or do you just drop it once you hit the woods and drag it with you whatever way you walk in?

Thanks for the tip BBB.
