RC, You really believe citations are down due to less violations happening? Too funny. Push back from the Koolaid, I have a baitpile in Portage county you can hunt over.Yep, I am sure item 1 on Burke's agenda is to increase state coffers with Dnr citation $$$. Let me guess You also believe on line registration next year will placate violators as well?
I'm a Walker supporter but this has no place on a hunting site. RC always tries to put politics into these sites and honestly your endorsment of a candidate will drive more people away from voting for them then will encourage people to vote for them.
Were there less wardens? Are the hunting violations linear to the number of deer shot (i.e. less deer would mean less hunters, etc)? Are there the same number of violations (per person) but less enforcement of those violations?
Numbers without explanation makes this just a USA Today bar chart.
Imo this article timed 6 days prior to the election is a political hatchet job on Walker by the JS. The article reads as tho Walker is not protecting our habitat or wildlife. It feeds the narrative that republicans want dirty air/water and don't care about the critters. Has anyone had a warden not write a ticket when possible lately?
I guess the wardens could be seen as dealing with that violation as "fair and friendly" because if they had been "heavy handed" they certainly could have confiscated everything used in the taking of the illegal deer and taken away hunting privileges for years.
That said, there's a big difference between cutting red tape and letting businesses and individuals make and break the rules. Some tape-cutting is good. Others, not so much.
The second link is a joke. Keep an eye out on the independent Politifact. It's an eye-opener on many politicians from both parties. Albers, on the other hand, has donated to Republicans (including Gov. Walker) since leaving Trek. Of course this isn't politically motivated. Wink-wink.
After checking Politifact, decide for yourself if we have a broken political system or not. Is there really any R or D politician out there we can trust?
I have to chuckle at that one too. Of course, he has convinced himself that he really didn't get busted.
Look, it's Clark Kent. No, it's superman.
This thread is 100% politics and has nothing to do with bowhunting. It violates Bowsite rules and also violates a debate free approach.
Ya sure it's not RC but at the same time he posted on here the same link miracualously appeared on his FB page!
Shining deer declined 44%.
Hunting deer from a public roadway fell 20%."
Ron, You think this is a positive for Walker? Do you really believe these illegal activities have declined by these percentages?Yep, 85/100 poachers said hey Walker is in so lets stop poachin. Nfw.
As a sportsmen I am upset and someone needs to put a boot in the Dnr to do there enforcement jobs. This is a damming exposure of the ineptness of the enforcement arm of the Dnr under Walker imo.
You would be in the minority. It's a well timed and well deserved political hatchet job on the failure of the Dnr enforcement arm under Walker's watch.
I never stated that. Many factors could contribute to the drop in citations, lack of violations is not one of them. Your point has some validity as ol RC could have had many more tickets issued/license revoked for that trophy spiker but didn't.I would enjoy hearing Wallenfang's answer as to why the huge drop in citations issued under Walkers watch.
Politics stinks, plain and simple, and anyone who thinks either party is looking out for our best interests is in fantasyland.
What are the odds that Howatt and Ron K. would post the same graph, then Ron K. takes it down after being busted here? What did Howatt state? Facebook is for 13 yo girls? What a joke.
Zinger that was awesome! Funny stuff for sure.
Bloodtrail you will get no argument about God from me.
