The area looks like one of the county park trails... North or south park?

not a county park, its a logging road, land was logged end of summer. Deer love to use the roads!

haha I wish I was in the stand that day! It's right up the hill behind him about 20 yards! Bunch of white oaks there. Deer hammer it and there is a doe bedding area not far from there too. Thanks guys! Good luck and you all should be out there if you can!

He's a good looking buck.... and would look great on any wall.
My guess would be in the mid 130's.

if we're talking about net score, I would go along with 135-136 --I have a set of antlers hanging on the wall that are much similar to this buck and if memory serves me right, he scored 136. Hope you get him, its a beautiful deer

Thanks guys! Glad your enjoying the trip. Unfortunately my other buddy gut shot another great buck from the same stand almost exactly 24 hrs later. Got it all on film too. We searched and searched with no luck.

Matt, that sure is a nice buck your buddy shot! what county you guys hunting in? I'm looking to hunt further south in Ohio in the future, I've been bow hunting NE Ohio since 1987 and have taken some real nice bucks there but it's really getting bad around here! I've been looking into Scoito and Pike Counties in SE Ohio but may try a little closer.

T county baby! Kind of a sleeper county, lots of hunters but if you can find a good piece of unpressured(private) land you have yourself a honey hole! Tuscarawas county...

I've scouted some public land there before but never hunted there Matt.

My dad lives in Knox county. Would it be worth it to try and get some permission to hunt there next year? Don't know a lot about the Ohio hunting. Thanks

Like I said Mike, there are a lot of hunters in T county. Never hunted public land here but I imagine it gets hit hard. Bow season you may find some good unpressured spots though. Not familiar with Knox county Lone_wolf.
