How good are you at guessing the score?!

I thought it'd be fun just to see how you guys are good at judging the score of a buck based on a trail camera picture. I know not everyone cares about what the score is of a buck but I'm just curious to see what people have to say. The photo that I'm posting is from last year around this time. Unfortunately for my dad and myself this buck was harvested about 1/2 mile from our land 3 days after I got his picture. I know the guy that shot him and know the score of the buck. Good luck guessing!! I'll give out the answer at some point tomorrow while I'm sitting at my desk counting down the hours til I'm in a tree stand Saturday morning.
Safe hunting everyone!! Enjoy the rut!
I assume there is a g-4 on the right beam. 160 3/8ths.
Beam length and mass may be deceptive from this shot but I'm guessing closer to 150 — a great buck either way!
Add total tine length to 90
158 gross. Not enough of a pic for net
I was leaning 163 so thats my fudge factor
He's a main frame 10. It's hard to see the G4 on the left side.
Its not the width that makes a good score, its the height. His brows are great, G2s 3s have some nice length to them, inside spread maybe 17 wide, average mass. Score 158
I was thinking this would be something fun to do! Unfortunately I won't have a prize to give away for the closest....the prize will be finding the giant at the end of the blood trail. Hopefully everyone has luck this weekend. I'll post the score around noon or 1.
I'm always surprised when I hear some scores of bucks I hold in my hands, then get the results later. I'm not sure if there's a fudge factor involved or people measure something they shouldn't? I think some guys might take more than 4 circumference measurements if the deer is ten or greater, or mesure tine length to the middle or bottom of the beam?
November has a decent method 90 inches for this deer before tine length. I came up with 84. I cannot tell if it's a nine or ten, but I gave it four inches if it was a ten. So I give it 59 inches in tine length, while November gives it 70 for an average 8 & 6/8" a tine. I just don't see it?
November, trust me, I know you have probably passed more big deer than I've seen, and must be able to field judge pretty well with your high standards, I just don't think the beems are exceptionally long and although it has great G1s and 2s, I just don't see it passing 150 gross.
On a side note, it's just a picture with only ears for reference. I seem to underestimate by ten inches always. I just never trust a panel of buddies over a couple beers, unless I get my hands on that tape, or one is an official measurer.....which I most certainly am not lol.
Double post. If you hit the backspace on your phone it posts it a second time. You must close out of the internet instead.
148 gross subtract about 4 1/2 for net.
Alright everyone. Most of you who guessed came very close to hitting it right on the head. The score of that giant whitetail scored 151 3/8. Just a bummer me or my or I weren't able to get him. Thanks for participating!!
Pete sound logic u nailed it i always use the 90/80 rule in the woods no need tp score this buck on the hoof he would be down no ??? Asked
Nice, I can usually get it within 5-7"'s.
I was second guessing myself at 152 but those tines are so long I gave him the benefit of the doubt.
