I' going out in the morning regardless of the weather. Am I better off still hunting or getting in my tree stand in the rain. I'll be on the same state land i've been on every saturday morning . Thanks - Duncan

Still hunt in the rain, if you have room for it. Slow mo scouting.

A little bit of both. Great opportunity to do a little more scouting.

I like to go on stand in the morning for a couple of hours when it's raining, and then quietly get down and still hunt real slow.
Duncan - you know how we were scouting together? We may have thought we were still hunting, but we weren't. Well move at least half that speed. I compare it to standing still, but you just change the spot every few minutes.

I like still hunting in the rain, you will get to see more deer that way rather than on stand cause you can get around real quiet. But as BBB said, you go REAL REAL SLOW

Thanks guys I'll try my luck on saturday. BBB when we were out I felt we were more scouting than still hunting. Thanks again for the lesson that day, I'm still going to hold you to your offer of showing me your hunting grounds. Maybe I can take out a doe , leaving more room for a big buck for your self. - Duncan

I'm trying to put plans together for us to go out next Saturday, the 8th, how's that work for you? I'd like to go all day if you can, if not we can go either the morning or afternoon.
Have to go Massachusetts tomorrow with the wife and some friends, but since it will be raining I won't feel that bad :(
Good luck tomorrow everyone!

If it's quiet walking, I'm always moving - well 90% of the time I am.
