Guy's get out there!!!! THE SEEKING PHASE IS ON!!!! Me and a friend of mine went out this morning and seen multiple bucks seeking; noses to the ground. I got a tough shot on a nice 6 or 8 pointer. He came up on me very quiet and quick. There was a slight breeze that also drowned out any noise this morning. tracked him and jumped him in his bed after about 200 yrds. I will go back tomorrow morning to get him and post pictures. I think the arrow hit a little bit to far back and I didn't really hit any vital organs, I mainly punched him. The blood on the arrow and on the trail smelled of paunch. Friggin sucks! Haven't hit a deer like that in years. This morning was my first time out all year. I only like to hunt in the cold and it was nice and nippy this morning. Hopefully I'll get to him before the coyotes do. The bucks we seen were pretty quite. Seen bucks up and moving around various areas today at around 12pm. Good luck!!!!

Yes, I did recover him but the coyotes got to him before me. I'm pissed!! I guess, I have to be more diligent about my shot placement!! Not sure if I nicked a branch? Here are a few pictures.
