Wood County - been hit and miss since late last week. Action picked up a little this morning and over the last few days. What is everyone else seeing in their parts of the state? Please include county
Sawyer county has a big increase in scrape activity. little snow this morning but melting fast. Still no big daytime movement but that will change fast now.
Marquette county lots of activity definitely worth hunting all day
Walworth County, cams beginning to show bucks moving in the daylight or right as the sun sets and rises. Found some rubs, too.
Crawford county, smaller bucks are moving early. Had a 6 ptr come through at 3:30 to freshen a scrape.
Monroe Co. Been seeing bucks during the day the last 4 days. My buddy shot a huge 8pt yesterday morning. Some chasing going on, but no real receptive does, just frustrated bucks. It's heating up quickly.
Lincoln - tbe Deer are active when you can find tben. Not many Deer around .
Pierce county- All day sit yesterday produced a trespasser walking through my best bedding area at 3 pm. No deer seen. This morning, had a mid 130's 8 at 30 yards working scrapes. This was at 10:30 but right in bedding.
Hunted Fond du Lac county this 11-1-14 young bucks are crazy, but still nothing big seen or on cameras besides at night. A crazy spike almost ran me over coming down a fence line at 9:30. It was pretty cool.
La Crosse....still seeing does with fawns. Small bucks eating others using their nose. But pretty quiet where I am.
Last camera checks in Sawyer and Washburn counties a few days ago showed small buck movement after dark. Sawyer, not much for sign including scrapes scrapes but the Washburn property had lots of sign and scrapes all over, mostly small scrapes but one spot had a big scrape and two little scrapes in a line on a field edge about 6' apart from each other. I moved a camera there, fingers crossed.
I am currently hunting SE Minnesota. Only see one small doe so far. Cameras showing buck activity, some during the day. Biggest ones are 110" or less 8 pointers. (4 point on one side minimum here so most of the bucks on cameral are 6 points)
Nothing seen tonight. Lincoln Cty. 651 pictures of Doe and 1 buck that will score about 8 5/8".
Jackson CTY = Dead, few scrapes popping up, does by themselves and not being harassed by bucks. Too many predators!!!
Unkleboo, what part of Monroe County. I'm in Ridgeville Township, NE of Norwalk.
Monroe - Thursday evening, 4 different bucks, 2 were 2.5 year olds, 4 does/fawns. All over the woods. Friend shot a 215lb dressed 9 pointer, waiting on photos. Good movement before the front of high winds. Nov. 1st, friend shot a 3.5 year old 9 point and another friend shot a 10 pointer, 2.5 yr old. One in morning, one in evening. 3.5 year old following doe with fawn, 2.5 was checking a scapes. Son had does with fawns all around his stand Saturday night, overshot a doe. Sunday evening I saw one lone buck strolling through.
I'm back at it for the next two weeks if needed. BC
Jackson County- Was up middle of last week hunting at my land, perfect weather could not have asked for better hunting weather. But didnt see a hair.... two thumbs down...
Racine/Kenosha county, the sign is there, the deer are not. A lot of standing corn yet.
That's what I get for going to work. This shot is 18 yards from my stand. I would say they are chasing now here. Was only getting doe pictures and now bucks are showing up. Lincoln county.
