How are things looking in the southeastern part of the state now? What action is there and what are guys experiencing.

The bucks are cruising in force right now Grant.
I saw four bucks 3-1/2 or older on Thursday...and another on Saturday. Dad saw four mature bucks last night and killed a 140" (gross estimate) eleven point.
LOTS of acorns this year. Most of those are already on the ground. Still quite a bit of corn in the fields. There has been plenty of moisture this year, so water is not an issue.

FYI, not sure if he actually got the deed done, but I watched a 2-1/2 year old 8pt mount a doe this evening. The rut may be a bit further along than first thought...
