yesterday and wind

Yesterday was just getting interesting as a nice buck showed up chasing several does and then the wind became gust! Had several young deer all by their lonesome come by - I am assuming momma was being chased. First two twins, then a button, and then 3 more - no adult deer anywhere to be seen. The wind had them so jittery it wasn't even funny. Heading put to put up another stand this afternoon.

I'm sitting in it now

We sat yesterday for hours with high hopes. Only to not see a single deer. Not one. First time in 12 years of hunting on this farm that neither of us saw a deer.

Good luck JR - wish I could be hunting here even in the wind! I hope the warming back up does not slow the process down
