Had a spike and 4 pt chase a doe by my stand. Beautiful morning to be in the woods.
This is the first opening day ever that I didn't hear a single shot anywhere

Only heard 1 shot by me this morning. The hunters were out there heard them go past the house 5:30 this morning.

My cousin saw 22 deer- hit a doe and lost it. My father killed a doe. Both saw a big buck in heavy brush but no shot.

With my COPD I was out the first two hours of light and came back in. did see one doe.

I had the best NY gun season opener ever. It was my first day in Kansas.....I will never spend another opening week in NY again.
In fact I cant wait till i never spend another week in NY period.
