Good luck Steve. Was the buck on the prowl for a doe, or just feeding?
I'm in Maryland on a business trip for the week, so no hunting for me until maybe Thanksgiving holiday period.
Looks like you have the woods to yourself.

The 1st week of the season I passed 4 different bucks and 2 decent 8's. Since then I have not seen a deer 95% of the time. So I hunted every morning for 2hrs everyday so Far in Nov. ( expect Sunday's )to keep checking the when a hot doe might be getting ready. Have not had a shot and only seen a big spike one day. After having a great year last year , and passing a lot of smaller bucks last year ( listening & reading about letting the little guys go to become mature ones..Well who knows how this works.) thought this was going to be another good year, man was I wrong so far. Since Nov 1st I have not seen a deer at ALL in 2-3 places 13 out of 15 times. Go figure , that's hunting. Waiting for one or 2 places to get hot , but nothing so far. can never figure these animals out , but it's great to be out you never know when one might step out. Good luck to all , love reading the reports
