While I didn't kill this buck with my Hoyt Faktor, but I've known many of you for years, and being fellow whitetail junkies I thought you wouldn't mind seeing a decent CT buck. Mature 8 pointer and pulled the scales to 184lbs. Shot him at 11:30am chasing a hot doe in Lebanon. Back to the bow soon....Good Luck fellow Bowsite members!

Congratulations Tall 1, very nice buck, great picture.
Great looking gun. Do you know the year of production? When I was looking to buy one, I liked the design of the rotating magazine for the lever action. IMHO, .308 was the best caliber for that gun.

Thanks Wild Bill. I don't know how old the gun is, but it has been in my family for generations. My grandfather first bought it and passed it to my father and now to me for the last 30+ years. The gun cycles flawlessly and is light and compact to carry all day.

Jon - Congrats on your buck! It's great to see that old Savage with a family history still in use. I wish that I had the Savage in 250/3000 that my Dad had when I was a kid.
