I'm brand new, just getting out of the service and all. Ive been bowhunting since I was 14 though. I didn't get my first bow deer until I was in my 20's.

16 years. To bad some???one had to give travis a hard time for losing a deer. I've seen the pro's lose deer with the best help in the world. I assume those perfect hunters are new to the sport and got there first deer, so, 1 for 1 perfect. I didn't lose one in 12 years, probably 20 deer, and then it happened, and it bummed me out. Left another until morning and found bones.

I enlisted for 4 but got involuntarily extended a few times which brings me to 6 years 8 months. I speak Arabic so they had a hard time letting me go. It got very frustrating for me as I wanted to finish college and get some kind of stability. In any case it all worked out and now I'm married' just bought a nice little farmhouse and we found out that we're expecting our first child. So lots of exciting things going on!

I'm not sure; it was either late 1998 or the beginning of 1999 for me. I've gotten to meet a lot of the "regulars" at the Sportmens Shows or testifying in Hartford for Sunday hunting over the years. Lots of really good people here.
Brad-Semper fi Devil Dog! I did my 4 years and then went to college with the intention of re-enlisting and going into OCS. Met my wife in my sophomore year and the plans changed! Congrats on the new baby; that will be a huge change but a very blessed one.

Semper Fi and congratulations Brad on the baby and house. I've been on the site for 4 or 5 years and read it for a year before I joined it. Great site with some knowledgeable people who post some great ideas on safety and hunting issues.I served 1990 to 1998 in the Reserve out of New Haven . I've been bow Hunting since 1984 and have taken quite a few with the bow , muzzle loader , shotgun and rifle over the years . Deer hunting is a passion of mine I've self video a few hunts years ago and aim to get back into that with some of the great advancements they made in cameras should be a little easier now . I also enjoy spring turkey season which was on hold for a few years while my babies where young but now my youngest is 18 months and the other 2 are in pre K so the wife can handle them better and allow me some extra time in the woods.

Pat could certainly tell us who joined when. If I'm not mistaken this site has been around since about 1996 or so. I think I joined a couple of years after that.
