In my stand by 6, calm wind and 55 degrees.
I see this guy slowly walking 100 yards to my left. Approaches the brook, takes a drink, hops over it, and heads my way.
I draw back at 45 yards, and when he crossed directly in front at 35 yards...MEH..
Drilled him with a 100 grain Slick Trick Magnum, double lung pass thru.
He sprints 75 yards, hits the brakes, staggers, and drops.
DOA 7:40.
If I can find a scale, I'll weigh him.
Wow great Buck well done.
Great buck, congratulations!
You're very humble. That's a stud of a buck. You don't see many that nice in CT. Nice shot. Love the Slick Tricks!
Woooooooooo hot dog!!!!!!!
air leak
way to go man!! That's a REAL beauty. And a great shot on him as well. Who cares what he weights, that's a CT trophy.
State or private land and what part of the state?? Oh hell, what tree were you sitting in???? :)
Thanks guys. It's the same deer that I posted as 'Test'.
The left brow tine was broken off recently. It's not broken in the trail cam picture.
BBB, I was hunting my buddies place, in Litchfield.

Awesome buck man, way to go!! He looks heavy.
You did it Tom!!! Congrats man!! I told you I wanted to see you posing with that beautiful buck and YOU DID IT!!
Great buck! Congrats! Post the weight of that deer if you get a chance to put him on a scale.
Fantastic!!! That is a beauty of a buck.congrats
Nice.. Awesome you where able to make it happen!
To me that's the ultimate hunt. Picking one deer out, doing your homework on where he is, and then stick with your plan to get him.
Well done!
Wow! and what a great story! I'd call that a successful season! Have a great Thanksgiving
Congrats that is a fine buck.
So nice to see a CT hunter get a beautiful buck like that one. Congrats!
Thanks guys.
I wasn't able to weigh him..I'm thinking around 170 dressed, and around 215 live weight.
The photo above was before I gutted him. His stomach was packed full with acorns.
