Menards treestand clearance

A buddy of mine just bought 5 two man stands for 45 bucks and a single man stand for 45 bucks and 2 two man tripods from Walmart for 125 bucks.
He will need to resell them for a profit which is his intention on some of them because that makes about 30 stands he now has and no one can use that many tree stands. lol
Walmart in Merrill has great deals also. A tip ; when you buy a value priced stand, the included nuts and bolts will be solid rust in 2 years.
Go to the local hdwe store and buy SS nuts and bolts . The stand will last forever. And you can adjust it as needed.
Thanks RC->Kulas<-Howatt. I went to Menards and scored well.
Good advice Ruger. Same is true on the straps. It looks like those stands from Menards are not ratchet straps. I will replace with good quality ratchet straps. I grabbed a couple more ladder stands and 20' climbing sticks too.

Every couple years I give every nut on the ladder stands a good coating of Rustoleum and that has worked well for me as well.
Little maintenance sure extends the life for sure!
Me and November bought Menards.
RC, Junk Yard John no longer own Menards himself. He is actually retired but remains active in the operations. He turned control over to his kids. Larry Menard is also retired and his kids have an active part in day-to-day operations.
Is Menards running a sale on the trail cameras too?
BT, you are playing with fire by trusting your life on the junk Japanese hardware that holds these stands together. I replace EVERY bolt in every stand with grade 8 hardware after seeing the cheap crap shear with almost no load.
Remember guys you get what you pay for, I will come right out and express my opinion... This stuff is junk. I understand the price is right but the longevity of the products are not good. I personally will spend a little extra for a better and safer product. Camera quality is terrible, I know people who have gone this route to only complain later on. Just my 2cents, just be careful out there.
Why did I know you (RC) would be the first to respond ! I said my 2cents but yes, awesome prices.
Wrong Booner, I have 2 16 ft Walmart stands with upgraded nuts and bolts that are 9 years old and doing fine.
I have 4 walmart specials, no upgrades, all doing great. No signs of rusting bolts, but I do plan on replacing the straps this season.
I wouldn't buy a Wildgame camera even if it was $1. Okay, maybe if it was a $1, but that is still overpriced IMO. BC
I know Ron, you and JeffMN have spoken highly of these cams. I've had terrible luck with 3 of them. Customer service is terrible from Wildgame as well. Believe it or not, the best cams I've owned is cuddeback, seems a lot of buyers on this site hate them. I'm only speaking from my experiences with them. BC
I'm glad you didn't pull your pants down!!! BC
RC I have one of the WGI that uses the AA batteries and 3 of the ones that use the C size batteries. The C size ones are not very good IMHO. Batteries last about a week. I have tried using a 6 volt external battery with those as well and once the temps get down to around 20 degrees the camera stops taking pics. The AA one does work better. If you have some secret that makes them work better I would love to hear it. I have 2 Bushnell trophy cams that have worked no matter what the temp but yes they are a lot more expensive.

I was thinking about going to Menards to see what cameras they have left. I just can't do it. I promised myself no more junk! BC
I ordered a 5 MP WGI online. I'll give it a try.
Looks like according to the internet all the 6/7MP models are sold out and only sold in stores at this point.
They are junk BC, not to mention I try and avoid giving those douche pickles that own WGI any of my money.
Yep everyone I know that have bought them have thrown them in the garbage.
Is that one of your three crossbows on there or was that a rifle, shotgun, muzzleloader or atlatl?
Good thing you took that one out. Not a lot of meat on its bones!
I don't have any of that brand but I agree with you, based on your success with them, great price point and enough quality for what you want them for. No new toys for me for a while. Just got natural gas brought in a long way from the road around some easements, new water heater and more, so I'm on a spending freeze — except for essentials. Wait, hunting stuff is essential, isn't it?
I bought on of the WGI cams a couple of years ago. It was terrible on batteries and basically worthless. I threw it away.
I officially, now, don't like Rancid/Ron!
I went to Menards, 2 7mp Wildgame trail cams left, a great price...I bought them! I can't believe it. I told myself never again and I did it anyway! What a loser I am!!! I walked away twice... Dang, I'm an idiot!
Rancid if you find two broken Wildgame cams in your front yard they came from me! BC
I bought a two man buddy stand there called the schizophrenia.
The stands are noisy when it gets arctic like outside. I ended up selling mine and getting the river edge stands for a little bit more $. Comparing the 2 the rivers edge are like ninjas :)
That isnt very positive Rancitt Howtree.
I know.. you and your many handles are soooo loved! Jus sayin
What is Meards? Jus sayin
Seems thats all you ever talk about? Show me a thread where I talked about old Chestnuts?
thats the first time I've seen Dr. Deer on camera w/o the bolo tie?
I got mine in the mail yesterday. I have to go pick up a cheap SD card. Can't wait to try it out.
I wish people wouldn't advertise these type of things. For the last three years, I've been able to wait until the end of Feb to get them even cheaper. I stop at the Middleton Menard's(uber lib area with no hunting stores in) and there is hardly anything left....
Fortunately, I was able to get the last two sets of climbing sticks, a tomcat and bearcat. Had to purchased the floor model of the Bearcat.
Your kill'in my budget, people.
Extra 25 percent off whatever's left now, according to a local ad
