My 16 year old great niece got her first deer tonight. Ya it's a rifle kill, oh how terrible... But she wants to build a longbow this winter, so there, that makes it bow hunting related:) And her 21 year old sister got her first deer today, a buck..

Thanks guys. I wasn't the guide, but I did gut the 16 year olds doe in our hollow, then the Kubota hauled it to their house :) The buck was taken in Washington county on state game lands.

Nice! Love to see kids getting into it. My daughter was so into hunting 2 years ago, now she's 13 going on 23 and things change. She did help be gut 2 deer this year though so maybe there's still hope! My son is starting to get interested though so I'm looking forward to that!

Very cool! Congratulations to both those young ladies. Glad you could be part of her first successful deer hunt. Seeing her with that 30-30 lever action takes me back a few years to my first deer. :).

Boy, is she lucky to have an Uncle/Bowyer! So she'll soon be making Osage dust, working out on the tiller tree, and listening to a certain "Waylon Jennings" tape, learning all the words....
