So which one of you guys shot themself in the leg this morning in Haddam?
Don't know if it was anyone from here. But it happened a few houses up from my house. Was just getting back from hunting saw 1/2 dozen deep vehicles at the home. Hopefully the guy is ok.
was it shotgun or muzzleloader?
Dam, must have been a muzzleloader. I wonder how he managed to do that.
I meet a guy in NY shot himself thru the hand used the gun for a crutch the trigger got stuck on a branch and bang right thru his hand 54 cal.
So the guy used a gun as a crutch with the hammer cocked back?
when i nod my head you hit it..
I don't know all the details he just showed me his hand all shot up he was doing excavation st my house and was a Taxidermist too
notme,
there you go, making a joke about someone shooting himself. Didn't you go to school, stupid? Yeah, and I came out the same way.
did he have his leg mounted??
I'll bet he didn't take the hunter safety course, had tags he purchased for 20 other people, didn't have a permit for the property and was shooting after hours, but it's ok, victimless situation.
Steve's guy is not the one in the "OUCH" question.
I cant hear "shoot self in leg" and not think of a kid I went to high school with. Maybe the 8th grade, and the kid decides to play with his dad's handgun (this is like 25 years ago, so while laws were strong, they were not like today - and I dont remember anything about what happened if anything happened to his dad). He hear's the dad coming home, goes to jam the gun in the holster with finger on the trigger and the holster pushes his finger which pushes the trigger - bang, he shoots through both his thigh and lower leg.
Missed school for quite a while while that healed... Poor kid!
Here's the story, not much info.

The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection says the man suffered a gunshot wound to his right leg when his rifle accidentally discharged

I was hunting with a guy years ago that did something real similar. He shot himself through the instep with a .308 using the gun as a crutch, muzzle on his instep, but under his armpit, when he started to stand up he squeezed the trigger. That was not a good day.
