I actually have 2 questions.First, I'd like to take my 16 year old out for a deer hunt next season.What exactly is the restricted license,and does he qualify at 16.Is Ne a choose your weapon state?Meaning I have to buy either a bow or rifle tag.I'd like to do a combo mule/whitetail hunt to be able to take whichever opportunity presents itself

If he turns 16 before September 1st, he can't hunt on a youth permit.

He turns 16 on Sept 2 so I guess he needs adult tags

Nope. If he turns 16 after September 1st, he can hunt on the youth tag. Look at the excerpt from the Nebraska Game and Parks again.
