Today on the ct river my brother and I took out his boat so we could winterize it. With the fog we could not go fast at all so we were just idling down the river when my brother said what the hell is that over there it looks like a rib cage. So we went over to check it out and not only was it a rib cage it was a monster ten point! Awesome find and biggest deer I've seen in person

Nice by chance was it found in east Hartford?

From: hunter16

No not even close to east Hartford. My guess is someone shot it and it jumped in the river and then the current swept it away when it died. When we found it the deer was halfway in water and the tide already started to go out.

Old power plant across the river is a large section of un hunted land. Some real big deer over there!!! To bad if a hunter lost it. Real nice find!

Found this buck goose hunting in a marsh. He was either shot or hit by a car. Nice 11pt.

yeah, what's with leaving the gun on the bottom of the boat and stepping on it wilbur? I hope it wasn't loaded at the time, could be an interesting boat ride :)

Not sure I would congrat someone for finding a dead deer they didn't shoot, but it sure is a nice find and conversation piece. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Thats a monster of a buck. Connecticut too. Too bad that he died the way he did, would have been great for a hunter to have taken him.

Great find beautiful CT deer. I'd guess he scores close to 150.

BTW the canoe, boots, gun, rack is all in the back of my truck when I took the picture. Yes the gun has been used as a jack handle among other things. If my memory is correct we shot a bunch of honkers and found the buck on our way out.
