Hi guys I am from Washington and just retired. The wife and I are going to be tourists in Utah for about 5-6 weeks in April and May. Driving around to all the national parks and forests in Central and southern Utah. Starting in Moab for a week, Blanding, Lake Powell, Capital reef, down 12 to Bryce and then Zion, and over to Nevada's Great Basin. Where are some good places to hike in the NF in spring where we will see elk. I am not planning on hunting in Utah, but would love to take some photos of spring calves, bulls in velvet etc. So outside of Moab there is the Manti-la Sal. Dixie National forest and Fish Lake NF. We will be spending quite a bit of time in the NF as they don't let dogs in the Parks. Again I am not looking for hunting honey holes, but spring ranges, and ideas of hiking around those areas. Thanks in advance.
