If I can find my truck under the snow I plan on heading out first thing in the morning (Tuesday) to do some scouting for next year ;)
notme's post about his sorta live hunt got me all excited about the hunt again.
Notme - want me to pick you up?
coffee bacon egg and cheese on me bud..
You go ahead and go scouting. Someone will find you in the spring.
Bob,
I sincerely hope you're not serious....this storm will be major league ugly tomorrow morning. On top of that the Governor will be closing the roads at 9pm EST tonight.
Stay home and stay safe!
Mike
yeah I'm kidding! The only scouting I'm doing in the morning will be for the remote, a cup a coffee and a log for the fire.
Thanks for thinking about my well being though!!
does this mean we're not going bob ?...
mike . if malloy closed the roads tomorrow , how will the 60,000 new jobs he created get to work ?
They don't need roads.....they'll saddle up their unicorns and take the rainbow bridge to work.....
It's going to snow tonight? Gee I dint hear that .
Hay crow I think it time for this years beaver thread!
now where is that confounded bridge ?....led zepplin
Went out all day on friday, did some shed hunting, scouting, put up a ladder stand in a deep thick killer spot, trimmed up some shooting lanes, and opened up some travel trails. Wont be back to that spot till mid November. One down 20 something to go. This snow is going to pile the deer up in hemlock groves for a while, good places to look for sheds in a few months.
Was out today pulled 2 cameras checked a couple spots found a couple good stand locations got them GPS ed walked for about an hr tracking some prints found 2 bedding areas that I had already assumed were so good day today
Went this afternoon check the zoo no tracks camera had 4 bucks on it the big 8 was there 3 days ago but the card was full so I didn't get to see yesterday will try it maybe tomorrow .Steve
I'm going out of my mind!! I know, that's a short trip, but staying in the house all day is killing me, especially after spending some time walking in the woods this fall and early winter.
Did the usual snow blowing, knocked the snow off the shrubs, cleared a path to the hot tub, cleaned the house, and now this.
I was thinking of retiring at the end of this year, I'll be 65 on 12/28/2015, but if this is what retirement is like,.....DAMN!!
Thinking about getting out for a little scouting this weekend. Been working seven days a week, so while the intentions are good, it doesn't always work out the way I'd like.
Whoops! Posted on wrong thread. I was wondering why posts weren't on the Mobile Live Shed Hunt thread.
