Just moved to Boise

My wife and I just moved to Boise a couple months ago and are looking to archery hunt elk this year. We are in our mid 40's and in great shape and wanted to see if we could get some ideas on some over the over the counter units to look at within 3 hours of Boise. Just looking for legal bulls, no trophies, but would shoot a cow as a last resort for the meat. Any assistance on units to seriously look at would be much appreciated.

Don't use the "as a last resort" excuse for killing a cow. They are much better tasting than an old bull, any day. Just find a big one. LOL. Look at unit 22 or 23 if you have a 3 hr limitation from Boise. Good luck.

Units 22, 23, 32, 32A, 43, 48, 49, 50......get out and scout. there are elk in all these units.
