Been putting a little corn out behind the house the last couple weeks. Had quite a few does and fawns coming in but no bucks that I could tell. Then this guy showed up today (March 1st). He didn't come put I could tell he wanted to. I had to shoot through the garage window and zoom all the way in (that's why the pic is hazy). I've heard of bucks hanging onto their racks into March but this is the first I've seen.

We took a drive around the area yesterday. Saw 50+ deer at 4PM and lots of turkeys too. Thinking it's gonna be a good year for the wildlife. All the deer we saw looked good.

What county? My birthday is in March (second week) and one of the traditions is taking a wildlife drive past many rural hot spots. Have seen plenty of "racks" on my b-day in Door and Kewaunee counties. I'd say it's about 50-50 most years between dropped and on at this point here. Easier winters like this one (despite the cold) seems to have 'em hanging on longer. Many veteran shed hunters in our area don't even go before early to mid-March unless they're trying to get some extra exercise. ;)

I think its a sign of an easy winter- last year and the year before our Bucks in Sawyer County were shedding in Dec and Jan- different story this year. I saw an 8 pointer last week.
