Yea brew, unfortunately for him, that is why I shot him. On size alone, he'd have walked.

Most bears shot are only between 125-175 dressed, and that one looks bigger than that. Agree, cool color.

He was decent sized but it was his color. In four days I saw 26 bears, caught a glimpse of him on the second night. After seeing him, I decided to enjoy the show while waiting for him to come back. Got great self video both before, during and after the shot.

I'm sure he will have a blast! And, the planning and anticipation is exciting as well.
This will be the first bear hunt for both of my daughters and they too are excited. One of the girls broke her wrist snow boarding earlier this year but all seems to be going fine and it looks like she will be able to hunt with her bow. For a while we were not sure if she would be able to or not.
Good luck on your hunt and we'll be looking forward to pictures!

Happy, my other daughter shot one late on our last day. The outfitter thought it best to leave it and return early the next morning. We found it died about 33 yards from the bait. Unfortunately, the wolves found it first. Not much left but some intestine, blood stains, lots of hair and bits of hide and bone. It looked like complete carnage.

Zebra, I left a deposit for next year. In addition to seeing lots of bears, the fishing was fantastic. A great family vacation. As the kids get older we will have fewer opportunities to do things like this so I am not missing the chance while it is there!
