Bowfishing Advice

I have recently gotten into bowfishing and am looking for a good spot to fish near preferably in East Baton Rouge Parish. Me and my friend use a 12 foot Jon boat. I was also wondering if anyone had tips for what lights to use and best ways to power lights on a small boat such as this? Any advice would be appreciated!
