So I'm driving home from work yesterday and a 1/4 mile from my house, I spot six does in a field. I stop and out of the woods comes an 8 point buck. I wasn't shocked to see deer, just shocked to see one that still has his headgear. Of course, as soon as I get my phone out of my pocket, off they go. The buck is the lead deer in the group of four....not a great pic sorry.

Last week we seen 3 bucks still sporting there head gear. Not just little bucks either, but a 10,8,8.

The earliest drop I saw was a small 6 point...in the firearm season!!!
The latest...2nd week of spring turkey. On a foggy morning I noticed this white ghost approaching...floating a few feet off the ground. As he got close enough to see the deer through the fog, I saw he was a brute. His antlers were bone white...always wondered if they faded while he was still wearing them...lol. wish would've dropped em then.
Conversely, couple years later about week 3 of spring turkey, I saw a buck growing his...another dandy...he was already past the ears and starting the forward curl.
Go figure........
