Swamp Really Wet - Why?

My swamp is really wet this year. The land is in Waushara County and I'm surprised as we had average or below average snow this winter and it's been really dry. The surrounding high land is really dry.
Any thoughts on why the swamp land (tamaracks and marsh grass) would be so wet. Thanks!

The water table should be pretty high below from the past two years.

Yup, plenty of water in landlocked lakes, pot holes, and swampy areas around Hayward. All that water from last year is still having impacts on the water table.
