As you all know who have followed this before, they spend the better part of the last day saying goodbye to those who are retiring and patting each other on the backs for what an amazing job they've all done spending Other People's Money.
So ... TODAY IS THE DAY to get Sunday Hunting called in the Senate.
I got an email yesterday from the House sponsor of the bill, he said that he thought that the Bill would likely be called today.
We have to give it one more shot! The Senate Calendar is controlled by Martin Looney the Senate President and Bob Duff the Majority Leader, for all practical purposes, if one of these two men do not call the Bill, it will not get called.
Looney isn't much of a friend to Sportsmen, so I think Duff is by far our best bet.
What can we do?
Call and E-mail Bob Duff: ask him to get the bill called. And Call your Senator, ask him/her too support it.

If you live in Darien or Norwalk, remind him that you're a constituent.
TODAY IS THE DAY!
What Bob Duff is NOT saying is that he will call the bill.
Typical Politician.
Keep up the pressure guys, at the very least let's make them say:
'These damn hunters are a persistent bunch.'

I am writing to urge you to call and pass HB6043 . Now more than ever with this newly passed budget I will be forced to work ( when I can find work in between layoffs ) 6 days a week . Would it be too much to ask for one measly extra day to hunt on private property ? Property that I pay taxes on . Property that I feel I should be able to do what I want as long as its within the law . The democratic party of this state have given illegals drivers licenses , id's , scholarships ,state paid tuitions and much much more .Your party already has me bent over holding my ankles would you at least let me enjoy it by letting me hunt my land
I say it's perfect, but maybe you could go a bit stronger.
I would write - that since the democratic party has their hands in my pocket the least you could do is give a bit of pleasure by stroking me on my private,.................land hunting request.
Don't forget to call and thank your rep and senator.

Really strange...Ive been having conversations with a couple of my reps since I started emailing back in February about it...Never heard back from my Senator even after an email per week over the past 4 months. He finally emails me back today to let me know he voted in favor of it. What's the deal with that??? Waiting to see where the vote would swing/what was in his best interest and then he comes out as the good guy to the voters of that side? Hey! Look at me! I got this bill passed for you! Politicians...
