Been using live bunker witch as of lately are a lot harder to catch than the stripers.

I know I'm always serious! The older I get the less happy I become! Been using a small boat in the bay..
I've never eaten striper, just let them go. How do they taste? I love flounder, cod and blacks.
I'm considering buying a boat for my retirement next year. My wife wants the good ship lollypop with a cabin, beds, sink, toilet, etc and I want an 18-19ft center console fishing boat for running along the shoreline. Stay tuned for who wins this one.
striper are excellent on the grill...fyi not so much for the 25+ lb ones. those go back in.

I like them grilled or baked! I catch and release a lot but tend to take the bleeders home probably gonna die anyway..

floresent green stuff,actualy algea,it leaves a trail behind your plug../line..tough fishing then,almost as bad as a worm hatch.

sounds like we need a phosphorus study to count how many parts per gallon of water and then hire a friend of the DEEP to eradicate them.

Great fish Dan! Live bunker always worked for me on BLUES, and sometimes on Stripers, but always tried to set the hook too soon!

When I was about 10 or 11, we were fishing at night with my uncle and grandfather. We caught one about that size and threw it in the boat. I was sitting down and the damn cat juped and stock me on my right leg close to the cojones. Grandpa had to pull it off and I couldn't sleep that nigh and got a fever.
from then on we always broke their fins before we unhook them.
They lost 2 bigger ones .My son in law went out a week later and they caught 27 strippers all were keep size .
OH and that's not me its one of my friends .

nice fish . theyre hitting nice fatties off the boats , my buddys been weighing some nice ones at his shop . looks like Sherwood island or the mouth of the saugy..lol
