Ok- who's going? Less than a month now! (July 30- Aug 2)
I won't be there, don't like looking at the guys carrying around those tricked out TV antenna's they call Bows.. Bunch of sissy pants if ya ask me...
Zoey would miss you. LOL.
If dogs breathe sighs of relief, I'm bettin' that's what Zoey's doing right now knowing she won't be exposed to this kind of abuse. :^)
Dave- it won't just be Zoey sighing with relief! There will be a few 2 leggers that are relieved too! ;-)
That old coyote looks like it's about to make a meal outta that poor Jack Russsel!
Andy and I are planning on camping, chef Bill will be there and maybe Mike.
I still hain't coming... Bows don't need wheels........... Only sissy pants need wheels on their bows. Like Rut Butt..............

We need to get rust4brains and Mitch up there. Mitch is probably as tall as Pat by now. Be driving the truck by the time we see him again. LOL.

Also, Dan Zerbe and I stopped over at Ed Wentzler's place for a visit on Friday. He asked me to tell everyone he will unfortunately not be able to attend the campout this year due to some logistical issues- he is being "evicted"(his words) from the in-law's house and will be moving stuff into the new house that week. BUT, he wanted to make sure everyone knew he would be anxious to see anyone who could make it over to his place for a visit. I am guessing he would use the opportunity to take a break from the "chores"! ;-)
Sounds good, I would drive over anyway.

I'll be in NJ sitting on the beach with my grandson. He's bringing his parents along. It was the only week we could do this because of their schedule.
Have to miss the 5C hunt because I'll be in NC on the beach with my wife and her parents.
There's a common theme here. Life is a beach.
just got back from the beach in NC, some guy got bit right up the beach from us, we saw the park service vehicle go by with the siren on.
And a guy from Pittsburgh died from a rattlesnake bite at his camp this past week.
My wife heard about that yesterday, Art. Didn't know he was from Pitt, though.
The fellow was from Freedom, Beaver County.
WOW- sounds like he was in an isolated area and panicked. I know they tell you to try to stay calm, move slowly and keep calm so your heart rate does not race. Of course I always wondered how many people can actually do that. But I guess if you can to some degree, the venom does not spread as quickly and might give you just enough time to get to the hospital.
I'm digging out the camping gear.
We are too, bought a new trailer last night. 28' Larado with a slide out dinette.

OK I don't think (90%) I can make the camp out as I'm leaving for a diy pronghorn hunt on 8/7 and will be gone for about 17 days. Just to much to get done before I go..
Now I have the wood award and it needs to get to the camp out. So Perry (aka rutnut) maybe I can send it to you or someone. So It can get awarded to the next person. Please pm me your address. Even if I'm going to make it I may not know till next Friday. ED the guy with the wood :)

Garrett and I will have to leave early this year. My college track coach passed away and they are having a memorial service for him at E. Stroudsburg U. on Sat. We will leave after breakfast on Sat. morning.
But we're going to try to get out there on Wed. so we'll have 2 full days before we have to leave. Will stay at the campground down the street if we have to.

We are staying at the campground along the creek Wed. night. We should be able to get in Thursday morning as soon as Muldoon gets there to unlock the gate.
For those of you who have not gotten on the road yet, we are not going to make it this year. A little under the weather lately. See you all next time. Have fun.

I told Amy I didn't see your set up today, but we were only there about 70 minutes. We had significant schedule problems, changes, and confusion too, but no health issues here.
Rust4brains called me on his way home yesterday and said it was a great turnout.
Sorry we missed you Art and Dale! We had a good turnout thurs.(we were surprised at the number that showed up thurs. evening around the fire) And Fri nite was even better- lots of folks rolled in fri afternoon and evening. Had some surprise visitors this year like Pat Covert, Patty Sager and Bowjo's wife! Now we know why Bowjo got that new camper last fall! ;-)
Chef Bill made free range chickens over the fire Fri. nite at the OPEN AIRE CAFE' and the West Virginia Boys provided marinated venison steaks. Bill also did a wonderful saute'd gooseneck squash with kale and almonds? side and roasted potatoes. I think there was enough for 40 people! Had at least 30% left over.
Glad Garrett and I got to partake in the Fri. evening events since we missed most of Saturdays festivities.
Looking forward to next year. BTW, Dan, Garrett and I did a nice bike ride up Pleasant Stream "road" to Masten. Maybe next year we can convince Bowjo and others to join us! ;-)
