Tillage radish, groundhog radish, are all Daikon radishes. They have a higher palatability than brassicas, but very little cold tolerance. In SE WI they rotted in the field, but up in Rusk County the deer did not let them get over 3".

I plant mine in late June. The deer love them. No soil test, fertilized with 300 lbs of 10-10-10 per acre. Next time I won't fertilize. There should be enough nutrients in the ground for a good crop.

Yes rotate or plant a cover crop every 2 years.
