Broadheads out of a 12 gauge? Performance looks not so good and the cost has to be unreal.

Single Shot .410 works better. Have to use feathers though. No vanes.

Saw this on facebook. Just another tool for poachers.

I can't see a poacher paying what those would have to cost and for what terrible performance they have. Plus all the noise involved with shooting them.

Just saying it could be a way to poach a deer during bow season and still be able to get it registered as a bow kill.
Heck, in a few years they will probably have their own season like crossbows do now.

You think the 18 year old girl is going to stick her finger in the hole to check if it's got blade cuts in it?
I guess I just don't understand the deal with poachers registering the deer. If they poached it and put a tag on it why would they register it instead of just taking it to their house and cutting it up?

No one is going to check anything anymore with phone in registration. You can shoot it with a rifle and register it as a bow kill only you would know if you butcher your own.

DT +1 and a heck of a lot easier for both bow/crossbow license buyers to tag for friends/family. You will see combined buck bow/crossbow kills continue to climb IMO — IF they choose to call 'em in in the first place. Zinger, can't brag about the big rack if it's not registered. That's the difference when it comes to poaching.

Good points with phone in registration. The area I hunt in MN is minimum of 4 points on one side. When I registered at Gander Mt last fall, the clerk had to go out to my truck and verify that it had 4 points on one side. I commented what a joke that was for him to go out and look since I could have registered it online and nobody would ever look.
I guess it would all boil down to if wardens were already watching someone or if someone turned them in. Then a warden might take a closer look at anything they registered.
