Im looking for a archery store in my area. I would like to get some fletchings replaced and some knocks set back in. If there is any sign of damage on your fletchings do you replace them? Some of mine have a little bit of a wave to them.

Travis have you tried the Quick Fletch style of fletching? You really don't need to go to the archery store to re-fletch your arrows. These are a shrink wrap like fletching tube that fits over your arrow and when inserted into a container of boiling water for about 10 seconds they shrink tightly around your arrow shaft. Very quick and very easy, even I can do it! They have different colors, styles and different twists to match whatever you want. Pretty simple stuff, give it a try

The waves might be from expansions /contraction...tears/nicks would b more of a concern ..

I replace my own. I use AAE Max hunters with a good helical.
Like Longbeard I have also used the NAP Quickspin Quickfletch. They work great and are easy to put on. The only drawback I found with them was that the plastic gets fragile after time and breaks. I was constantly replacing them and they aren't cheap. But they are a great option for at home fixes.

Yes make sure you get it completely submerged and count at least to 10...other than that its a no brainer

I used to boil up a bunch of water and pour it into a blender. I used the blender because it is tall enough to allow you to submerge the fletching completely. Make sure your water stays hot enough....otherwise the shrinky stuff doesn't fully shrink. Be careful with blenders that are glass, as some aren't tempered and you'll crack the glass. I know this first hand. Lol
Lastly, I would put a drop of glue on the plastic (top and bottom). This would eliminate the fletching from sliding on the arrow should you hit something hard. The Quickfletch will slide on your arrows if you don't do this. Good luck.

When I was using plastic vanes, a few passes from a hair dryer would take out the wrinkles/waves.
