I'm waiting till the end of Oct. I like to stay out of the areas I hunt till the rut starts so as not to drive out the doe, and therefore the bucks.

Removed because it looked like I was bragging. I will say that I save all my vacation for the hunting season when I don't take a real "vacation". I have 10 vacation, 2 floating holidays and 1 sick day to take. 10 days are already schedule.

The only decisions I have to make are....
Tree, ground blind or ghillie suit.
And which property.

Longbeard, I think I got it from where I use to work as head of shipping department . Standing in one place packing and lifting 40-50 pound boxes all day for a few years . Concret floorsto stand on , tried to get them to put a rubber mat down , but no . So after awhile my back got so bad that by the time I got home I could hardly walk . My back has been killing me for the last year so I went and saw my doctor about it . He sent me to have x rays and that's when they saw that the disc is missing in my L5 lumbar . I go to have a MRI on the 9th and then go see the neuorsurgon at 8:30am on the 15th to see what can be done .

Planning on doing all day on the 15th, then have a week late in Oct and anther in Nov planned.. Might be a lot more coming. Company changed Vacation policy and I have a lot of additional days to use before the end of the year. So I'll probably do days here and days there mid-week between Mid Sept and Thanksgiving

Will go out part of opening day, do not like the bugs in the early season.

There were no flies. Just beer and the floaters in your eyesight.

I'm in. Looking to get a smart doe that I saw when she was a fawn. That was 6 years ago. I saw her a month and a half ago on a walk. She's still around. The white belly fur wraps up and around, very cool.

usually there will be one MATURE doe in any given area, she is the breeder. If you want to draw in the bucks I would leave her alone and take the younger doe as they will have little/no impact on drawing in bucks during the rut.
Good luck

So now you're saying I should troll the geriatric center for old breeders...ewwww,think id rather go blind.lol

There's actually one bigger doe. This one doe in particular is very smart. Take her out and the dumb testosterone fueled bucks will come out from behind the houses, follow and chase all the others.

I have no idea what notme is saying?? Wait, let me hit myself in the head a few times,.......there we go, now I understand. Be careful in nursing home, those old ladies in the wheelchairs can really move.
