On a tight budget this year, I went to Wal-mart and bought 2 stands. Should have known better... After putting them together, the cables are 2"-3" short. The platform does not sit level.

Anyone else seen this before?

thx

I have 2 ameristep hangons from Walmart and have no problem with them. Out of the box after assembly they need to be hung and stood on to flatten out the platform. If that doesnt work take them back.

Thanks guys that's what I was thinking...the cables just need to stretch out a bit.

CTCrow..."We fat guys" aren't fat. We're hot. When things get hot, they expand.

I picked up a Field and Stream stand at Dick's last week. On sale for $59. Basically it is generally the same as the Comfort Zone. I believe it is the same mfg. It has three different holes to run your cables to so you can adjust for different tree angles. Only problem is you need to have the wrenches to remove and re-attach the cables. but for 59 bucks you really can't go wrong.
