Haha! Ya my girlfriend fully understands she is a hunting widow come fall. I already had planned on taking good most every Friday off so....3 day hunting weekends! :)
Divorce is no laughing/joking matter. Rather, it is both painful and expensive, in finances, emotions and social stability.
My wife looks foward to be gone plus she loves venison.
My wife would kick my butt if I didn't hunt on Saturday and Sunday or any other day .
This morning would have been a great sit. Coldest morning of the year so far. One more week until Sunday becomes FUNday!
My wife is not happy. When we got together I didn't watch football or hunt. Now I do both. She's not happy but I love my alone time in a tree. Lol
Works out good for me as mine is a late sleeper on weekends. I can be back by 11 and she will only have been up for an hour. Plus I snore loud so she gets some snore free hours.
Whats nice about having saturday and sunday to hunt.If I have something to do on one of those days,I still have a day to get my outdoor fix.
It took me 5 months to do the wife's kitchen so the hunting season is mine then she tells me we are going away for the next two weekends I told her I am the boss she just laughs plenty of season left and I am off to a good start
My wife lets me do what makes me happy, in return she ALWAYS can do the same.
Life is short to be pissed if your spouse is having a good time at something they enjoy. Its a two way street - if you both cant understand life is supposed to be fun, then think about moving on from each other. Now I'm not saying be reckless and spend your paycheck every weekend, everything has a moderation.
Of course this is my opinion and I hope my wife doesn't read this.. LOL
Lol... I'm not stupid enough to get married again. Cuts into my hunting time.lmao!
mgmt.hunter,
Getting married is not stupid. To say that it is, becomes an insult to all the other hunters on this site, who are married. nlmao
Sunday gives me a away to keep us both happy bad Saturday is a good day to do that honey do list.
I swear this is my last wife. When I said we can now hunt Sundays too she said: NO, you can now hunt Saturday OR Sunday. Not Saturday and Sunday.
I'm getting married this Saturday! -Duncan
Lighten up Wild Willy I think this thread is for the most part "tongue and cheek"
I agree with Wild Bill. Getting married is not stupid. Smart people make mistakes too.
Married during hunting season = every anniversary during hunting season.
Congrats on the wedding!!
I have been with my wife for 33 years and married 29. She knew what she was getting into when she met me. She never complains about me hunting(going to Kansas for 3 weeks in NOV.) She has hosted and had a sit down dinner in my house for over 100 bunny hunters, so I guess I got a good one. She tells me, it is a big part of who I am and she would never want to take that away from me. Shawn
One funny thing about my wife(of 26 years). She complains when I bring deer home to process. "Bring it to a butcher" she says.
When my son shot his first deer, it was 3 of us skinning and butchering the deer in the back yard. She had so much fun, you had to be careful getting close to the part of the deer she was butchering cuz she would cut your fingers off. Very territorial woman I'll tell you.
She claims she doesn't eat deer but when the bacon wrapped back straps are on the table, she is the first to sit down. Let's not talk about my venison jerky. I have to hide if from her. Let's not talk about chili.
Currently my right hands not going anywhere..she doesn't talk much and does what I want,my left hand is another matter..lol
Crow I got you all set last night your wife said you can go Saturday and Sunday .Did she hold up to that after she left ???LOL
Crow, I got the same from my wife. Saturday or Sunday - NOT BOTH! At least I have options.

Well, Steve have a talk with my wife last nigh and she did say I can go both days. Best of all is that I have Steve as a witness and I believe he was recording it.
Thanks Steve!
Duncan congratulations, if you play your cards right its the best life there is.My wife knows we eat 3 deer a year and is all for my hunting and fishing to put food on the table.Enjoy the rest of your life together.
The woman's family is from Up state NY. They have eaten more Deer than beef. It's kind of a joke for them that I haven't shot a deer yet. While they support me They keep reminding me that I haven't got one yet. For Example. Her Father, Great man, picked up a stand up freezer for me at a tag sale this last month. SO I'd have room to freeze venison. In side was a old lamp Shade with pictures of a buck in fall, spring, winter , Summer, land scapes. With a note "this is just incase you forgot what a deer look like" I'll get one this year. -Duncan
All my hot girlfriends don't care that I hunt as much as I want. And I wouldn't care if they did. Just sayin'
This sign goes up each Sept and doesn't come down till Jan. She hasn't left yet lol
