I have recently moved to Norman, and I am looking to use the public hunting land around Lake Thunderbird to deer hunt. Do you all have any locations or suggestions for hunting in that area?

Cut my teeth on Thunderbird. I killed my first 10 deer out there. I hunted off of highway 9 and 120th. Also straight down 108th East of the little cemetery (not sure about access now). Good periods are early, during muzzleloader and during gun season. Expect other hunters. Sit tight and other hunters will move deer by you. Good luck!

Yep it's a good area with lots of access. Like any public expect to see a few other hunters. If you have a boat that can help too
