My opinion, take the 1st week. I personally love hunting from right before Halloween through the 1st week of Nov.

I try to jot down things that I experience year to year and I agree just before, and a week after Halloween is activity peak from what I've been seeing over the years. Temp is key during this time period for daytime movement.

I've filled my buck tag the last 5 years on either Nov. 5th or 6th, take the 1st week.

I agree with the above posters. I think I've taken more bucks on Nov. 7 than any other day. I take the first two weeks every year.

the rut is a marathon for sure. It definitely goes by day. If you taking a week off I agree with the first week also. Hopefully I don't irritate anyone by saying I see more of the older class deer the second week of November. 10 bucks hit the nail on the head. So hopefully the time you get the weather will be great.

October 26-November 5 are magical. Cannot go wrong. Good luck.

I find November 3-10 to be the best week usually. With November 9th being a day that my hunting group has arrowed many nice bucks over the last 20 years.
Weird, because for me personally, I tend to get my bucks in late October 20-30, but the rest of my crew does better in November.

Work and an illness in my family requiring me to travel to AZ next week are preventing me from getting out in the woods. I am relegated to one week this year and am choosing oct 31st through the first week of November. The first four days of November have always been a great time to be in the woods.

My favorite day is Nov 1st. Hasn't treated me well the past couple of years, but it has historically been good to me. (At one stretch, for 3 years in a row.)

I've shot most of my bucks between October 25th and november 1st. Not that i've shot a ton, but my wife's birthday is the 28th and that day has been very good to me. Lucky for me she understands.
