Shot this doe fawn on opening day at Osage Western Wall hunting with my recurve. I've been hunting there for 4 years now but haven't had much luck and I've been seeing a lot more hunters than deer. I'm thinking about focusing on my private land the rest of season.

Got a doe in Craig County this weekend, 91 lbs after gutting. Saw a ton of deer up there, as well as in Muskogee County. I know where they are bedding down, just can't seem to be there at the right time to get the big guy.

I "made meat" with my new longbow on Sunday, Oct. 18th. 10-12 yd. quartering away shot, complete pass through. Bow is a BamaBows Royal Expedition II, 45 lbs @ 26", 1535 GT Traditional, w/50 grain brass insert and 125 gr. 3 blade VPA that I hand sharpened. Recovery distance was 30 yards. Very fat and healthy doe.
