Was on stand yesterday morning in lite rain off and on and at 8:30am I look in back of me and I see a buck heading straight toward me at 45yds. I stand up and grab my bow and get the release on the loop . He walks right up the stream bed which had no water in all the up to 19 yds from me . Yea, I smoked him. I heard him crash about 5 seconds after he dissapeard . Stayed in the stand for an hour before climbing down to take a look . He's not a big rack buck but his body was big . About 150-155 lbs . He only went 50 yds before pileing up . That's the third deer shot so far in a week . I shot 2 seven mins apart last week but I lost one of them in a big thick swamp that was like a black hole .so thick light doesn't even get in . Not to mention the deep mud and water almost up to your waist . Spent hours trying to find a way to get in . For two days my buddy and I tried . First deer lost in over 13 years . I do have two in the freezer . Going to wait on a big buck before I let another arrow fly .
