Yesterday when leaving my stand I found several fresh scrapes. Including this one. I think it's a scrape anyways. It looks like one... and SMELLS like one but the nearest tree is 30 feet away. There is however a big dead weed stalk that has been rubbed on. Is this a scrape made by a young buck not knowing what he doing. Or possibly the smell of a deer rubbing on the stalk causing another buck to make it a scrape. What do you think

I've seen this kind of stuff before. Just a scraped out spot in the middle of the woods with no licking branch anywhere near it. Could have been where a doe took a P. On several occasions I had a doe come by and she took a P. The buck following her smelled where she peed, then made a scrape right there.
