New Location Killer Spot

I finally made it out to the new back door location in the NW corner this morning at around 8:30am. The landowner didn't show up, waited till 9:30am and then decided to walk the edge of his property to where the stand land started. Looked down a small hill and there were 4 deer at the bottom on the state land.
This will be a morning hunt location as it looks like they're using it as a bedding area, will be able to know for sure once I get down in there. Lots of nice edge, tall straight trees backed by thick pine and lots of turkey sign as well.
Going to call the landowner today and ask if it's ok to hunt next weekend in the morning and then meet him around noon so he knows who I am. One of the best spots I've found in a few years, very exciting.

The last time I had permission to use the back door it cost me a trip to the casino..lol..nice job BBB..wish I could walk up to people and ask

I should have mentioned that I posted this because this is how you can get into deer on state land. It takes a bit of work checking the maps and driving around the perimeter of the area to determine a good spot to get in the back door. It can really get you excited about a new spot when you spot several deer 100 yards in :)
