I have a lot of time to sit and think. One of the thoughts that goes thru my mind is well, should I be over there hunting or is this a good spot?
But on a more serious note I find myself thinking how thankful I am. Thankful to be able to be living in a country where I can have a rifle in my hand. Thankful that I can walk, and climb a tree. Thankful that I can see, and hear the woods come alive. Thankful that I can drag a deer.
Thankful for my wife and daughter. Thankful for my family and friends. Thankful for my Church. Thankful for my job.
Thankful most of all for Jesus. With him I can truly live. And all good things come from him!
This thanksgiving as you are sitting there in you platform of choice, by yourself or with family or friends looking for that buck, thank the Lord for the ability that he has given you to do so.
If you don't know him as your personal savior what better place to ask him to be than in the woods.
I hope that everyone has a blessed and great week in the woods. Be safe, and I pray that Jesus's presence would be sitting right there with you. He'd love to be with you.

I think too many people have lost or never learned the true meaning or history of Thanksgiving and most other holidays as well. They just view then as a day off work and don't even know why. With Black Friday constantly getting pushed back some places are even opening on Thanksgiving.
I'm a Republican and pro -business but there's a limit. Let people be with their family on Thanksgiving and have dinner together. There's not enough of that anymore anyway . It will probably make for a happier and better employee the next day.
Everyone habe a great week!
