Another Hunt Ruined By Dirt Bike
Connecticut

Another hunt ruined on state land (bow hunting only) yesterday for three of us. We were pretty deep in the woods, got settled and half an hour later here comes some dope on a dirt bike. The worst part is that one of us wore orange in the stand and could be seen by Ray Charles at 3 am. This asswipe rode back and forth several times and passed within 25 yards, did it deliberately. I called it in without hesitation but nothing came of it. Hopefully I'll be contacted but it's good to make the complaints so it's on file. Needless to say, none of us saw any deer.
I know some of you think it's no big deal and the law is stupid. Maybe what is stupid is how the three of us have thousands invested in equipment, hundreds in licenses and permits and we don't get to enjoy the state property that we pay for and support, unlike these trespassers.
Take a walk in Town Woods sometime and see what atv's and dirt bikes have done (and continue to do) to that property, it'll bring tears to your eyes.
Hope things work out for ya bud......they ride at the spot in Ansonia where I hunt, only one guy and he stopped and talked to me one day. I don't like it, but at least he has the courtesy to stick to the main trails.
I hope you nail the guy.
I hike East and West Peak in Hubbard Park a lot and have seen the tracks of the illegal riders up there. One day I saw them down below me while I was up on a trail and couldn't make it down fast enough.. I wish I was there to meet them....
It's illegal to do.
Keep calling on them..go above there heads, eventually someone will come out
