Great morning nice and warm, but was pretty quiet, no squirrels, no mice. I thought I was not going to see a thing since I did not get into my stand until 8:30. Then at 9:20 this guy walked by and gave me broadside shot. Shot was a little forward so the recovery took 2 hours to find him, but it was worth it.

Got it up in Goshen private land, I have always seen pictures of a monster like this on the web and tv shows, but never thought I would get an opportunity of a lifetime to harvest one as such.

This 12 point 200+ pound monster was taken today a few miles from where I gun hunt in NH. I would have dumped in my drawers if this beast walked by.

That last shot shows off his rack nicely, very cool deer.
Looks pretty typical for a big buck this time of year. All the body weight is forward in his shoulders and neck.

captain
please take this post down now, I've looked at a couple of times every day and it's making me very jealous!
Someone else said it gives motivation and that's correct. Too many hunters think those deer don't exist in CT, not any more, but they do.
